GTA 6 Record Sourced, not guessed

GTA 6 Record / Answer

GTA 6 weapons: every gun and melee weapon seen so far

No official GTA 6 weapons list exists. Here is every weapon seen in the trailers, screenshots and Extended Look, by name, and what is still a guess.

Checked 2026-09-16

The short answer

Rockstar has not published a weapons list for GTA 6. What exists instead is a set of weapons that have actually been seen on screen, in Trailer 1, Trailer 2, official screenshots, or the Netflix Extended Look. Some carry proper names, like the ES9 and DW9. Others have not been named and are identified only by the real firearm they resemble. Nothing below is a stat, a price, or an unlock condition, because Rockstar has not published any of those either.

Why some names are missing

A number of weapons above have no proper in-game name yet. Rockstar has shown the weapon clearly enough to identify the real firearm it is modelled on, a Ruger 10/22 or a Heckler and Koch MP5 for example, but has not shown or stated what Rockstar itself will call it in the finished game. Past GTA games have sometimes used plain descriptive names instead of real gun names, so a final name may differ from the real-world weapon it resembles.

Weapons that are not on this list

Material described as leaked, rather than shown in an official trailer, screenshot, or the Extended Look, is left off this page on purpose. GTA Wiki’s own weapons record separately marks items such as a Rocket Launcher, a Speargun, Flashbangs, Golf Balls, and Grenades as coming only from leaked material, not from anything Rockstar has released. Those items may well be real, but they have not been officially shown, so they do not belong on a page that only covers what has actually been seen.

What is still not known

  • Whether every weapon above will keep the name or design shown in pre-release material once the game ships.
  • Any damage values, fire rates, ammo capacity, or unlock requirements. None of that has been published for any weapon.
  • Whether a fuller weapons list, official or otherwise, will appear before the 19 November 2026 release.
  • Whether weapons seen only in leaked material, such as a rocket launcher or grenades, will be confirmed through an official trailer before launch.

How this page stays honest

Every weapon listed here has a specific piece of official material behind it, a trailer, a screenshot, or the Extended Look, drawn from GTA Wiki’s own weapons gallery, which by its stated policy excludes leaked content, and cross-checked against IGN’s separately compiled weapons list. No stat, price, or unlock detail appears anywhere on this page, because none has been published. Where a weapon is known only from leaked material and not from anything Rockstar has shown, it is named in the section above as excluded, not folded into the main list.

Common questions

Has Rockstar published an official GTA 6 weapons list?
No. Rockstar has not released a weapons list for GTA 6. Everything known comes from spotting weapons in the two trailers, official screenshots, and the Netflix Extended Look, not from a Rockstar-published catalogue.
How many weapons have been seen in GTA 6 footage?
Around two dozen distinct melee weapons and firearms have been visually confirmed across official trailers, screenshots and the Extended Look, grouped into melee weapons, handguns, shotguns, submachine guns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, one heavy weapon and one thrown item. That number will grow as Rockstar releases more footage before launch.
Does GTA 6 use real gun names like past GTA games?
Some weapons have new proper names, such as the ES9 and K17 handguns and the DW9 submachine gun, following the naming style of GTA V. Others have not been named yet and are identified only by the real-world firearm they closely resemble, such as a Ruger 10/22-inspired rifle.
Are GTA 6 weapon stats or damage numbers known?
No. Rockstar has not published damage values, fire rates, unlock levels or any other stats for any GTA 6 weapon. This page covers only what has been visually identified, not how any weapon performs.
Is there a rocket launcher or grenades in GTA 6?
A Rocket Launcher and Grenades both appear in leaked material referenced by GTA Wiki, but neither has been shown in an official trailer, screenshot or the Extended Look. Until Rockstar shows one directly, this page treats them as unconfirmed rather than seen.
