Indian gaming outlets report GTA 6 at Rs 5,999 for the Standard Edition and Rs 7,499 for the Ultimate Edition. Rockstar itself has not published these figures. Treat them as likely, not locked in, until an official Rockstar page confirms them.

Why this page is careful with the word “official”

Some GTA 6 prices are as solid as facts get before launch. The US price of 79.99 USD and the UK price of GBP 69.99 both trace back to Rockstar’s own Newswire post or Rockstar’s own storefronts. The India price does not have that paper trail yet.

That is a real report from a real outlet, and it is worth taking seriously. It is just not the same as Rockstar stating the number itself. Both figures cover the same content difference as everywhere else. The Ultimate Edition is reported to add exclusive vehicles, weapons, apparel and businesses, plus two extra side missions, matching what Rockstar has confirmed for the edition globally on its PlayStation Store listing.

How Rs 5,999 compares to the US price

It is tempting to look at Rs 5,999 next to 79.99 USD and assume India is getting a steep discount, because the rupee number looks small on its own. That is not really true once you convert it properly.

Rs 5,999 converts to a figure much closer to the US price than a “discount” would suggest, once you run the maths at a normal exchange rate. It looks smaller only because the rupee is a smaller unit of currency than the dollar. This is the same regional pricing pattern seen in other countries on our full GTA 6 price page: publishers set a number that looks reasonable in the local currency, not a straight currency conversion of the US price, and not necessarily a discount either.

Rockstar has confirmed, for the release generally, that physical copies exist and ship with a download code rather than a full disc, but no India specific physical price has been reported by any outlet we can point to. If you are planning to buy a physical copy in India, check the retailer’s own listing closer to launch rather than assuming it will match the digital storefront number.

Why India often gets a separate regional price at all

Publishers set India specific prices for the same reason they set separate UK or EU prices: local purchasing power, local tax rules, and what the regional market is used to paying all factor in. India frequently sees lower absolute prices than the US or UK for big releases, not because the game is worth less there, but because a flat US price converted directly would be out of reach for a much larger share of Indian players.
